As I was growing up, my Mom would call me Nellie Bell, as a joke. In the 1940s, Roy Rogers Jeep was named Nellie Bell. Fast forward 25 years, I met a man named Ken Bell on a blind date. We dated for 2 years and one day my Mom said, “Do you know if you get married your name will be NELLIE BELL!”. Yes, we got married and Mom’s little nickname saw my future.
